The 200% Andrew Jack Interview

The second issue of 200% features a 10 page interview with Andrew Jack.  In the interview Andrew talks extensively about his work  relationship with actors ("Some actors are very co-operative and  really enjoy it, but others almost actively resist."); actors staying  in character ("Even in his private life Christian Bale stays in the  character he is playing. He'll say ordinary things to his wife like:  'Honey, shall I make some coffee?' as Batman!"); teaching the actors  of The Lord of the Rings 'Elvish' and the scepticism towards dialect  coaches.  200% also visited Andrew on the set of "Eastern promises" — the new film of David Cronenberg — for which he taught the actors  English with a Russian accent.

The article has contributions of the  actors Emily Watson, Viggo Mortensen and Lena Headey.  Also, until September 2007, 200% readers can follow a course 'How to  speak like James Bond' on the 200% website.  Andrew coached Pierce Brosnan for his role as James Bond.  On the 200% website he explains to  readers how to speak like 007.

200% is a bookazine (a book in the form of a magazine) about creative  passionate people.  200% delves into the motivation of these people and  their total commitment and dedication to their work.  It features  extensive interviews with people working in the creative fields of  art, music, film and fashion. The second edition of 200% contains 132  pages and has — just like the first issue — the high level printing  quality and longevity of an art book.
